A note about my portfolio:
All clients are responsible for their design work. Unless otherwise noted, all writing samples in the screenshots here were written by me from scratch or co-created in partnership with my clients. Clients have complete ownership to edit their work after we wrap, so ask if you want clarification on any of the links or samples you see.
Any content creation work I do collaboratively with AI tools will always be disclosed. If you’re looking for a specific type of writing sample you don’t see here, please contact me directly at amy@amymatos.com.
You’ll also find some guest blog posts I wrote that have been published elsewhere. Some guest posts are very personal and were written before beginning intentional antiracism learning and practice. These posts contain many instances of the dominant culture biases I hold. I did not intend to convey that all people reading have the same experience, nor minimize or ignore the fact that those with intersecting marginalized identities often confront far more difficulty when faced with similar experiences.
That said, I care deeply about impact. I have grown immensely in my antiracism self-work since producing many of these pieces. In reading them years later, I find examples of potentially harmful and problematic language I would not use if I were writing these today. Rather than edit the publications and hide any harm or negative impact my words cause, I intentionally keep them here to be accountable for my word choices and also to demonstrate that we are always learning to do better as socially conscious business owners, myself included.
