Once upon a time, there was a brand copywriter and storytelling consultant named Amy...

who used to work in HR for 10+ years for some of the most well-known names in the industry…

Hi there, it’s me, I’m Amy, and this is my brand story

My HR career started with me handling all the typical internal HR things.

It ended in Corporate HR Consulting in a unique role, delivering strategic HR guidance and account management to small, startup, and family-owned businesses on behalf of my Fortune 500 HCM employer.

By the time I decided to freelance, I had held various individual contributor roles and a leadership role, guiding a team of 10 high-performing HRBPs.

I liked Corporate HR. And I craved purpose, meaning, and more time in my zone of genius and with my kids.

In Corporate, I was damn good at helping close, resell, and upsell sales deals without being a quota carrier. I joined B2B sales meetings for years to explain the bigger HR picture.

My (and my team’s) client experiences were the stories that gave our client marketing meaning, contextualized our sales collateral, and helped me when hiring. We were The Why.

I shine writing words to humanize HR products and services because I embodied that story 40+ hours a week.

I also had a knack for retaining happy clients. When clients were disappointed with our HR tech or service delivery, I resold those HR stories with a high success rate, sometimes live and often in writing. And did I ever love the writing.

When I realized I could do the writing part for a living with clients who care as much about their purpose, people, and planet as I do… that’s when my brand copywriter and storytelling consultant chapter started.

During this chapter, I’ve helped 100+ clients bring their written content to life with heartfelt brand copywriting and soulful storytelling that builds trust, creates genuine connections, and inspires the right people to act. And as they say, the rest is herstory.
